Now/Then
2023.2.10(Fri) - 2023.3.21(Tue)

Starting on Friday, February 10th, the second floor of Lurf MUSEUM will host an installation exhibition titled "Now/Then" by edenworks, a creative studio run by flower creator Megumi Shinozaki.

edenworks' philosophy is to "pass on flowers to the future without throwing them away," and they use their unique sensibilities to bring out the potential of flowers and create works that minimize flower waste.
This work expresses "now and then," a time when the moment and eternity of living flowers blend together. It is a fleeting work that can only be conveyed through flowers. Please enjoy the process of live flowers transforming into dried flowers over time.

The flowers used in this exhibition will be rearranged by edenworks staff and sold as "fragment packages" at Lurf MUSEUM. This work is composed of the pieces that will be delivered to visitors.

The installation will be dismantled on Monday, March 20th, and a closing event will be held on the final day of the exhibition, Tuesday, March 21st (national holiday), using the dried flowers from the exhibition.

Artist Statement

Don't throw away flowers, pass them on to the future

Growing up, I watched my mother cherish flowers, and even after more than 20 years of working with flowers, this feeling has not changed.

Flowers always make me feel like I am a living thing, and show me so many wonderful moments that only being alive can bring. And they are the ones who make my wishes come true.

In this work, I express the shape of "now and then" in which the moment and eternity of living flowers blend together.
It is a fleeting yet powerful piece of work that can only be conveyed through flowers.
