[Exhibition details]

The participating artists in this group exhibition are Oscar Oiwa, Ai Makita, a painter who paints motifs of man-made objects such as machines, metals, and plastics, Chie Shimizu, who primarily creates sculptures, Firoz Mahmud, who continues to create artistic themes inspired by the history of his native Bangladesh, and Sao Tanaka, who studied Japanese painting and digital photography and creates paintings and installations.

Living in New York is a dream for many. Artists continue to work in their own unique environments. The timing and methods of their migration vary: some receive fellowships, others study abroad, and some continue to live in the city after graduation. Each faces their own struggles, including language, visas, income, health insurance, housing, and, for those with children, education. Yet, they share a common desire to make their dreams come true, and they continue to move forward, fight, survive, and create new things. The works in this exhibition contain such messages from these artists.
