Lurf MUSEUM will be hosting a solo exhibition by artist Heisuke Kitazawa, "The Great Escape," on the first floor. The exhibition will feature a set of 32 new paintings by Kitazawa, each with a strong narrative theme, based on the Great Escape. Additionally, merchandise by Kitazawa created in conjunction with the exhibition will be available for purchase at Lurf MUSEUM's storefront and online store.

[Artist Statement]
The Great Escape is a story of past (experience) and future (result), or of "us" in the simultaneous present, connecting, linking, transitioning, and continuing to move forward. A story of 32 sheets, or one stretched sheet.

After living in the United States for 16 years, he returned to Japan and began working as an illustrator. He has provided illustrations for a wide range of fields, including numerous book covers, products for French confectionery, Afternoon Tea, Sanrio, and Coco's menus. In recent years, he has also written picture books such as "Arugula's Little Hidden Object Shop" (Hakusensha), "Yura Yura" (Kodansha), and "The Diary of My Cat and I Passing Each Other" (Shueisha).
