Artist Statement
The exhibition, titled "Happenstance," which means a chance encounter, focuses on the richness that comes from loose connections that arise from just being in the same place or by chance seeing or hearing something, rather than connections that have a symbolic purpose.

I chose this theme because I feel that we can distance ourselves from the kind of solidarity that arises from one issue, which arises because we are able to judge people and things symbolically through social media, and that it is possible to communicate even if we have nothing in common, and that this is a very natural, human thing.

I would like to create an exhibition in which people who happen to be at the venue will see the works by chance, which will lead to communication and a loose connection that will lead to something next.

Happenstance
Coincidence Often refers to a good event (encounter, discovery, etc.).
