後藤夢乃 × 山中雪乃 二人展

The Roof Museum is pleased to present "Lux," a two-person exhibition by artists Goto Yumeno and Yamanaka Yukino.

"Lux" is a series of exhibitions planned and curated by the Roof Museum that highlights artists who symbolize light and brilliance and the diverse possibilities that lie within them. This first exhibition will introduce the works of two artists who blur the boundaries between matter and information and express unique worlds through the human body.

Goto Yumeno has been creating paintings that use light and shadow to reconstruct myths, legends, tarot, and other elements through magical practices. By connecting the spiritual world and blurring the line between the painting world and the real world, she gives viewers a profound sense of depth.
Meanwhile, Yukino Yamanaka has expressed beings that transcend humanity by intentionally omitting details of people and increasing the level of abstraction in her paintings, which are filled with blank spaces that resemble rays of light shining through. The boundaries and blank spaces blend together, evoking in the viewer the imagination a space between physical and spiritual existence.

The works of these two artists will resonate with each other at the venue, bringing new perspectives and deep inspiration to viewers. Original Lurf MUSEUM merchandise by Goto Yumeno and Yamanaka Yukino will also be available for purchase at the venue and on the website. The exhibition will run from Friday, May 17th to Sunday, June 23rd, 2024.
