On the first floor of Lurf Museum, we will be holding artist Masanori Ushiki's solo exhibition "Easy Telepathy."
This exhibition will allow visitors to enjoy the diverse artwork of Ushiki Masanori, and will feature approximately 20 pieces, including drawings and canvas works. In addition, Ushiki Masanori goods created in conjunction with this exhibition and a new VISITORS collection will be available for purchase at Lurf Museum stores and online.

[Artist Statement]
A cafe is a place for communication. And this cafe is probably the best "cafe gallery" in Japan from every angle. It may not be an exaggeration to say that it is the best place in Japan for communication. So, I thought about what the best form of communication would be for this place. It would surely be "telepathy," which requires no language, facial expressions, or gestures. Of course, we cannot use telepathy. But perhaps people can sense something close to that telepathy from the characters I draw and display on the walls. I paint with that hope. It is not stuffy, shady, or godlike; it is a very easy telepathy. It is neither exciting nor unpleasant, cute nor cool; it is "unique."

Masanori Ushiki
Artist and character designer
Born in Niigata Prefecture in 1981. Graduated from Musashino Art University in 2004.
Based on the expressions of Japanese anime, special effects, toys, etc. from the 1980s and 1990s, he creates works ranging from humorous to fashion-conscious, focusing on a sense of group, diversity, and continuity using original characters set in the near future.
She is active both in Japan and overseas, having appeared on the covers of "Dempagumi.inc," "YUKI," and "Little Glee Monster," as well as in advertisements for "Converse," "Red Bull," and "Nissin Cup Noodles."
