[Artist Statement]
The living never stops,
Each one moves along its own timeline.
Slowly or quickly.
Sometimes what others see may seem like that,
It may not be the case for you.
But time always passes,
"Fluctuating."

【profile】

MOTAS.
MOTAS. is an art unit formed in 2012 by BOYA and TOMO. BOYA was active in graffiti, while TOMO was involved in projects such as stop-motion film. Working in different artistic genres, the two combine various styles, including comics, graphic design, typography, illustration, and abstract painting, to create works that capture unique human emotions through their own unique perspectives. Their canvases and murals, featuring BOYA's drawings and TOMO's color sense, exude a mysterious warmth that transcends story, era, and region. In recent years, they have expanded the scope of their work, using motifs such as a character named BLEYE with a bent middle finger and three small red, blue, and yellow OOOS figures, to convey the message that "no matter what the situation, there is always a tomorrow, and we live our lives carrying something on our shoulders."
