LURF GALLERY 1F is pleased to announce the solo exhibition "Works" by artist Toshiyuki Fukuda.
As an illustrator, Toshiyuki Fukuda is active in a wide range of fields, including editorials, book covers, advertising, CD jackets, picture books, miscellaneous goods production, and textile brand design.
In this exhibition, the artist will take a break from the client work he undertakes on a daily basis and exhibit and sell works that he has created while carefully considering "what he really wants to paint at the moment."
Toshiyuki Fukuda's original artworks possess a unique texture and quiet presence that cannot be fully captured in print. The flow of the brushstrokes, the layering of paint, and the rich texture of the paper are the charms that can only be found in original artworks. Please come to the venue and experience the depth and warmth of these artworks for yourself.
In addition, original Fukuda Toshiyuki x LURF GALLERY merchandise created for this exhibition will be sold at the venue and on the website. The exhibition will run from Wednesday, April 23, 2025 to Monday, May 19, 2025.

statement

As an illustrator, when I hold an exhibition I usually show artwork for clients, but this time I will be simply drawing the artwork that I want to draw at the moment, and exhibiting and selling it.

For this reason, I decided to title it "Work."
Glasses, T-shirts, and tote bags to go with the exhibition will also be on sale.
This is my first attempt, so I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of reaction I get.
