This exhibition marks the first public showing of Takaya Towa's "Elephant" series, which was conceived through collaborative research with Shiseido's Future Research Group and painted using a new technique that uses pearlescent pigments, a cosmetic ingredient, as art materials. This will be Takaya Towa's largest solo exhibition to date, showcasing 70 new works, including his signature "Blue," "Water," "All Elephant," and "Cherry Blossom" series, as well as works that incorporate the energy of the land by extracting colorants from mud collected from Beppu's Blood Pond Hell. Additionally, T-shirts created for this exhibition will be available for purchase at the Lurf Museum and online store. The exhibition will run from March 2 (Sat) to April 8 (Mon), 2024.

statement
It calls : shades of innocence
The colors, everything resonates with everything.
It remains intact.
It continues to exist and be reborn.
I am a breathing body in this universe.
It embodies a time that goes beyond "this moment,"
Is this proof that the depths of existence desire the world?
Color, light that resonates with the universe. A soul that you can touch.
The invisible are fulfilled and resonate.
It is released towards all living beings. This dynamic energy wells up from the mind, body and soul.
Memories and emotions stored deep in the retina.
When the self sees you and you meet you, we transcend.
All things are in flux, and the light swells and travels into the distance.
The experience of time is not linear, but cyclical, transcending, and regenerating.
Its opening and appearing.
Soul. On the shores of existence.
From His everlasting mercy.
